Styling Siblings!

Check out Rob and Elisa! Siblings, students, and style stars.  They look great for a cold fall day!
I love Elisa's jacket, if you look carefully you can see the military style with a ruffle at the bottom.  I love the ruffle because it adds femininity to the military look.  Elisa finishes off her outfit with a great large-faced watch, destroyed skinnies, and some fierce flats.  Rob looks great in his casual get up too.  Boat shoes are great for any time of the year and his light wash jeans and 4-pocket jacket finish off his look. So....

1. A Great Jacket:

2. Some Stylin' Jeans:

3. An Amazing Pair of Shoes:

4. A Beautiful Watch:

Wow, I can't believe another week has come and gone!  Luckily, I found this great girl (with a great outfit, of course) on campus as I was waiting for one of my classes. I love her classy button-up shirt with pearls and, my favorite piece, the vest.  The line between a great vest, like Carlie's, and a terrible vest, think 90's fleece vests, is very thin but Carlie made it look like a million bucks.  Her outfit screams fall sophistication.  So ...

1. A Killer Vest:

2. A Great Button Up:

3. Some Classy Pearls:

Thanks for checking out my blog! I hope it helped you out of a style rut ... or at least inspired you to try something different.  Have a great week and remember to leave a comment if you have any questions or suggestions!  Have a great week!!!

I love Lexie's look because it is laid back and stylish. When I saw Lexie, I knew I had to take a picture of her. I love her booties with her neutral skirt and slouchy button-up shirt and cardigan. She looks great and I'm glad she let me take a picture of her!  So ...

2. A Contrasting Cardigan:

3. A Neutral Skirt:

4. Some Kickin' Boots:

Basically, I love Sarah's outfit, it is such a great seasonal transition outfit.  Sarah was sweet enough to let me take her picture before our class started; I am really glad she let me!  I love the chiffon blouse, along with her cuffed skinnies and braided sandals.  As far as I can tell, this outfit gets an "A+."  My favorite piece in this outfit?  Her cardigan. Cardigans are great because they warm you up and they pull your outfit together.  This cardigan's rich orange jewel tone is great for fall. The 2011 Autumn season is big on jewel tones.  If you don't want to wear orange, try deep purple, teal, or even a deep red hue.  So ...
1. A Colorful Cardigan:
2. A Patterned Chiffon Blouse:
3. Some Sexy Skinnies:
4. Boots or Sandals ... Take Your Pick: (Probably boots now that is basically 5 degrees outside ... )

Well this completes another edition of "Style Stars."  Thanks to Sarah for being a beautiful model and to you for reading.  Remember, with fall coming it is a great time to make some changes!  Don't be afraid to try something new, who knows ... you might love it!  Make sure to "Follow" my blog my clicking the link in the upper-left hand corner of this page and if you have any questions or want to nominate a "Style Star," e-mail me at  Thanks again for reading!  Have an awesome week!

Hey ladies, and maybe some gentlemen, thanks for coming to check out  Kellie's rockin' outfit!  I saw Kellie at a Marketing Kick-Off event, she was there representing Qualtrics, minding her own business, but I couldn't resist asking her if she would be on my blog.  The instant I saw her boots I knew the world needed to see and appreciate their beauty, so why not put them on my blog, right?  As you can tell, this outfit overall is an A+.  Her knit dress in a fun, fall color pairs well with a scarf, belt, and of course the boots.  She also had a great gold, over-sized watch to accessorize.  So ...

1. Some Beautiful Boots:

2. A Great Knit Dress:

Thanks to Kellie for being a great model and to everyone out there reading!  I hope you have gotten some fun fall ideas to make you feel like a million bucks this season!  Remember that you don't have to do EVERYTHING in this just try something,  you never know unless you try!  See you next week!

Jessie Anne!

This is my cute friend Jessie Anne!  Last week, she came a visited me during one of my breaks between classes and I almost died when I saw her jacket.  Really, it is a beautiful, casual, fun, everything jacket!  The lavender looked great with her eyes and the lace lining took the this bomber style jacket to a whole new level.  I love it.  Jessie paired the jacket with some skinny jeans and sparkly, black TOMS to finish off a casual but cute look.  She proves that you can be comfortable and functional while still looking put together and stylish.  So ...

(I finally learned how to make links instead of just posting the URL's so be prepared for some great links!)

1. An Awesome-Beautiful-Fun-Everything Jacket:

2. Some Sexy Skinnies:

3. Casual Flats:

I hope you enjoyed my new links!  I definitely think they look a lot better and now it should be easier to navigate the sites you want to go to!  Anyway, thank you for checking out my blog and thanks to Jessie for being a smokin' hot model!  Remember, as always, you can take just some parts of this outfit and try it for yourself.  If you've never tried skinny jeans, try them.  Do something new and you might be surprised about how much you love it!  So far I've hit 2,250 views, but my goal is to reach 10,000 by the end of the year!  So ... tell your friends and make sure to follow my blog by clicking the "Follow" link in the upper left hand corner.

Last Wednesday I went to my Management Communications class and who sat by me?  Megan! It doesn't get any easier than that.  Megan was really fun to talk to and cute and, of course, she was dressed really stylishly.  Luckily for me, this time, it was easy for me to ask if she wanted to be on my blog and, as you can tell, she agreed.  Megan's outfit is simple and easy to put together, but it is still very fun and put together.
On top Megan is wearing is a simple white blouse with a fun necklace but her skirt is what makes this outfit really pop.  The fun color takes it up a notch.  Her sandals keep it summery and the whole thing together looks amazing.  So ...

1. A Simple, But Fun, Blouse:

Back To School!

On my first day back to school I was on the look-out for some perfect casual outfits when I stumbled upon these two ladies on my way to information systems 201.  They were kind enough to let me take their picture and now you and I can enjoy their trendy yet classy ensembles.  The lady on the left is wearing a stunning ivory blouse with a gray cardigan, skinnies, and gladiator sandals while the lady on the right rocks a gray tunic, cuffed skinnies, and boat shoes.  Both are perfect for a casual day at school.  Not only do they look great but they allow for a long yet comfortable day of toting books and other classroom staples around campus.

1. A Stylish Tunic: (Black & White**I want to add this one to my collection!

2. A Pair of Figure-Flattering Skinnies: (Cuffed or Uncuffed)
(Miss Me

3. Sandals or Boat Shoes...whatever you like!:
(Can't help but be obsessed w/
(Sperry Metallic

Thanks to our two stylish models and to the readers for following my blog.  Remember, it isn't about how many clothes you have but how well you mix and match.  All the pieces above can be worn with a variety of different outfits.  The blouses and skinnies can both be dressed up with heels and some blingy jewelry.  Just be creative and show who you are!  As always, if you or anyone you know is a style star, e-mail me at  Have a great and stylin' week!

After weeks of failed attempts (EXHIBIT A) to make it as a style star on my blog, my Uncle Jay was able to pass as a style stud at a wedding on August 9th. His suit screams of class and his tie adds a touch of fun with its paisley pattern. The fit of the suit is also impeccable for his body type, a straight leg pant helps to create a slim-figure, and the tailored jacket fits perfectly over his broad shoulders.   As you can tell he exudes confidence in this suit.  His poses almost surpass the modeling finess of Derek Zoolander.
So How Do You Get Jay's Look?
(My Aunt was kind enough to share Jay's secret with me...Nordstrom and a wife.)

1. A Classy Suit:
2. A Preppy Tie:
3. A Crisp White Shirt:

Wedding Edition!

This month has been wedding crazy...and I have loved every second of it.  Two of my favorite people in the world got married on August 9th-my brother, Spenser, and and one of my best friends, Kourtney-to each other!  To celebrate their special day I just had to show off their classy taste.
Our bridesmaids outfits were really simple but they had an elegant and fun flair.  We all chose our own white tops and black skirts then Kourtney gave us a red flower belt to pull it all together.

So..How Do You Get This Classy, Sassy Wedding Look??

1. A Sophisticated White Blouse: (Ruffle got my chiffon tie-around blouse from Express)
2. A Sexy Black Skirt:
3. A Sassy Red Belt:

Thanks to Kourtney for picking out our great outfits! We had such a great time on your special day.  Thanks to you too for following my blog! It's so fun looking for cute outfits that can mix, match, and be dressed up, or down!  Remember to e-mail me your favorite looks and keep checking back every week to see the new style stars!

I know...I am completely lame, I haven't blogged in way too long.  Life gets crazy but I am going to make sure to at least blog once a week...if not more.  Just stay posted. Anyway!  Meet Andie!  I met her in Banana Republic at the University Mall and I not so smoothly asked her if I could put her on my blog.  She was really sweet and decided to play along.
I like Andie's look because it is casual but it still looks put together and unique.  Instead of a plain T-Shirt with shorts she opted for a chiffon blouse in a deep blue which dresses up the outfit and makes it more put-together.  Her white shorts also have a unique touch with a white rope belt.  The accessories she uses definitely pull the outfit together and make it fun.  She is wearing white, studded sandals along with a flower headband that she made herself.

So...How Do You Get Her Look??
1. A Flirty Chiffon Blouse:
(Daytrip Pintuck Shirt,
(Christina Chiffon, ***As a side note...I am in love with this particular shirt! Oh it is so beautiful!!

2. Some Unique Shorts:
(BEAUTIFUL Bow shorts,
(Blue Essence Twill Pant,**If you aren't into shorts these white pants would be perfect with a deep blue chiffon shirt like the ones above!**

3. Studded Strappy Sandals:
(Jewel Studded Coach Sandal,
(Deep Blue Sandal,

4. A Cute Headband:
To get a great headband like Andie's, e-mail her at to request one!  As you can tell she makes way cute ones!

Thanks for following my blogposts and thanks again to Andie for being such a great model! I hope they are giving you new ideas and helping you to get out of your clothes comfort zone!  Remember you can mix and match, switch things up, take a few things, or remake the whole outfit to look good on your body type!  E-mail me with any questions about what would look good on you and don't forget to send in pictures of your favorite outfits so you can become the next style star!  Get your friends to become followers...remember once we hit 50 followers I am going to have a give away!  Have a great week!

I met Amberlee at Sally's, a beauty supply store.  She was so nice and thankfully she let me take her picture!  I love the layered look and Amberlee does it beautifully!  She layered leggings and a crocheted skirt on the bottom and a chunky belt, jean button-up, and a vest on top. Amberlee was nice enough to let me know that she got most of her look from Forever 21! To get her look you don't have to layer exactly the same, you can even just layer the top or the bottom, but her look is very fun and great for summer!

So, how do you get her look?!

E-mail me at I hope you like the new look of my blog! Let me know how I can make it even better and be sure to send me a picture of you in your favorite outfit so you can be the next 'Style Star."

I met Sara at Nordstrom's just the other day.  She is one of the stylish sales reps in the BP department. When I met her I knew I had to put her on my blog! So as she got me a room to try on some clothes I awkwardly asked her if she would mind being on my blog.  Luckily for me Sara was super nice and fun about it, so now I have a great model for my style star!
Sara's look is so great because it is great for either a casual or semi-dressy event.  Her top has a silk sheen and is an oversized blouse.  She makes it fit her figure by tucking it into skinny jeans and then billowing it out just a bit.  Her jeans have a little higher rise than most so they go right above her the skinniest part of her. Sara also wore wedges which made her look taller and elongated her legs.  I think the great gold  necklace she is wearing makes her outfit look very put together and updated.
Sara made sure to accent her best features with this outfit by highlighting the smallest part of her waist and bringing attention to her face with the necklace. This is what we should all do with our outfits! Highlight our best features!

So how do you get her look?

1. A Rockin'  Necklace! (Rhinestone Collar Necklace-Forever 21) (Serpentine Necklace-Forever 21)
Go to and check out their fashion necklaces! There are so many great ones I couldn't choose my favorites!

2. A Classy Blouse!
(Flutter Sleeve Blouse-Nordstrom)
(Silk Blouse-Nordstrom; If you don't like the idea of tucking in this is a great option for you!) (Polka Dot Frenchi Blouse-Nordstrom; It's on sale!!)

3. Some Figure-Flattering Jeans! If you don't like skinny's go for a classy bootcut or trouser with this look! (Jolt Skinny Jeans in Black Wash-Nordstrom) (Citizens of Humanity Bootcut-Nordstrom)
(Black Skinny Jean-Forever 21)

4. Some Fierce Wedges! (Chinese Laundry Wedge-Macy's)  (N.Y.L.A. Wedge Sandal-Nordstrom)

Thanks to all of you for following my blog and thanks again to our great model, Sara!  I hope this has helped inspire you to go and try something new!  If you want to be the next style star, e-mail me at  Thanks again!

So yesterday I found my first style star at a church function.  Her name is Aubree (her name was the first sign that she definitely needed a spot on my blog!) she is so cute and totally stylish.  I love her look, it's laid back but still put together and fun.  Aubree's bag is from Gwen Stefani's L.A.M.B. collection, I am obsessed with it. Her leggings have some decorative buttons around the ankles and her green shoes add a fun pop of color!  She told me she got her tunic slim shirt at Wet Seal for $12! Is that a steal or what?  Aubree mixed and matched designer clothing and no name brands and it looks like a million bucks!  So do you get her look?

1. Long, slim shirt-if you are a little fuller you might want to ditch the horizontal stripes and go for a solid color

2. Fashion leggings-get some leggings with a little extra flare-zippers, buttons...if you aren't comfortable with leggings try getting skinny jeans with plain pockets----I know forever 21 has some like this, Nordstrom also has some---try their Hudson jeans, super simple and classy!
3. Some funky flats---Here are some links to some super cute flats I found online (Orange/Blue/Yellow 'Nine West' Flat)

4. A chic bag---Once I started looking at bags I couldn't stop! Here are some great links to find your perfect bag! (L.A.M.B. satchel bag) (Guess Giada Purse) (Michael Kors drawstring bag) (Charlotte Russe bag, a more inexpensive option but still very cute)

Thanks for checking out my blog and our first 'Style Star,' Aubree! There will be plenty more to come!  If you think you or one of your friends should be featured in a future 'Style Star' post, e-mail me a picture at!  Thanks and be sure to tell your friends!
